Thanos Hotels & Resorts is currently seeking to recruit a Gardener for Annabelle Hotel.

Job Role: To maintain the hotel gardens, and grounds to the highest possible condition, working amongst a team of gardeners.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-Participates in all gardening activities, the maintenance process, and the performance of the gardens. -Performs, under the guidance of the Horticulturalist all mowing, trimming, weeding, planting, cultivating, fertilizing, watering, and pruning operations of flower plants, and trees in the hotel’s premises. -Assists with the performance of general landscape, herbicide, fertilizer, and other related chemical applications as assigned by the Supervisor. -Carries out all chemical applications safely and correctly, as instructed by the Supervisor. -Performs general landscape and clean-up duties, including trash and debris removal and litter pickup. -Operates, maintains, and installs sprinklers as and when assigned by the Supervisor. – Works safely and reports any unsafe activities to the Supervisor. -Uses the correct machines for the specific tasks that they are designed for. -Keeps all areas clear from weed and leaf debris to keep the highest standards. -Reports any dangerous branches, dead or leaning trees to his Supervisor to prevent possible danger to Guests/Staff.

Requirements: -Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in a similar position at a 5*Hotel. -Excellent knowledge of English. Knowledge of Greek or any other language will be considered as an advantage. -Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and cope under pressure. -Has extensive knowledge of fertilizers, pesticides, and other related chemicals. -Ability to operate power equipment like trimmers, chainsaws, weed cutters, and other hand tools required for gardening. -Commitment to learning & self-development. -Promoted cooperation & commitment within a team. -Inspiring and motivating others while being caring and understanding. -Excellent interpersonal skills in handling staff relations and/or guest complaints.
