Facing water and nutrient scarcity in European agriculture: Lessons from the Horizon 2020 SolACE Project

The SolACE project (2017-2022) aimed to help European agriculture identify and test potential solutions to face challenges under conditions of reduced or more variable water availability and production with fewer inputs of fertilisers, both at the crop and agroecosystem levels.
This final SolACE Stakeholder Event, based on the experiences from the project, aims to:
- share and stimulate dialogue with various stakeholders about key messages from the project,
- gather feedback and experiences of multi-actor projects at the European scale
- identify collectively what needs to be achieved beyond the SolACE project, in order to face water and nutrient scarcity in European agriculture
The event will feature contributions from a series of SolACE stakeholder workshops related to roots, microbial inoculants, crop modelling and on-farm experimentation.
